December 13th

Sooo exactly two months after my last post and i finally remember to do this again. Well as we know i'm in berlin and leaving from her ethos Sunday and then going to Poland for the holidays and then on the 27th IM GOING BACK HOME. My excitement is probably ridiculous i'm so excited to see everyone again... well not really everyone but the few people i care about and just to be back in the city and home is going to be amazing. Berlin has been quite the adventure lol.. It's been pretty cool and different, my German definitely got a lot better by being here and i've had a lot of crazy adventures and made many good friends that I'm definitely keeping in contact with in New York but i'm def ready to go back now. Going out here is insane we stay out until like 6 if we are clubbing and that's pretty early for people here. We somehow manage to get free drinks everywhere we go here, it's almost a talent except we don't do anything. But guys in Europe in general are really scrubs and really disrespectful (sorry to my polish cousins but it's true). Techno music here is like too much for me... actually no i refuse to listen to it or go to places that play it.. it really doesn't make sense i swear they play the exact same song for the whole time that i'm there it's ridiculous. The hip hop kind of sucks cause they never have any new songs and just play the old school shit which is ok until it starts becoming unknown. I've visited Poland, Barcelona, Paris, Madrid, London, Prague, Hamburg, Leipzig, and Dresden while I have been here. Each city is really great and unique even though other than Poland i'd probably say my favorite is London cause its so cute but the prettiest is either Prague or Hamburg. My semester has been pretty chill school wise I guess there's not that much to do except my papers now at the end but I guess that's not that bad. My area in Berlin is pretty chill not the nicest or anything but it's def not the worst so i'm happy. The food here is def a problem cause there is like no healthy food so def got that little vacation weight going on but there's nothing a week in New York with Chopt salad won't do :) There are some areas in Berlin here that are so adorable and fun and some remind me of new york which is nice. I feel like i have been here forever and it feels like home i'm so used to everything and the people and all that, so even though my happiness for coming back home cancels out the sadness of leaving i still am sad that i won't be able to see this place for some time cause i have nooooo idea when i will come back and not being able to go to Naukauf will be a little weird lol. The people in the program are pretty chill even though i didn't take the time to get to know everyone i don't really have any complaints. This thursday is our last joint dinner and then christmas party... that'll probably be sad. Then its off to Polska with my grandma! That should be a lot of fun even though i know it's going to feel like forever especially cause i don't have internet there lol but i'm so happy i'm goingggg. Then the 27th i will be back ahhh can't wait to see my fam and friends at the airport :) even though i wish bela would be there but helloooooo spring break haha.
It's crazy to think that the last times i posted in this i was wondering how berlin would be and how i would make it through such a long time while i was only at the beginning at this adventure and i know that i would never be able to do this again but i am so grateful for this experience and happy that i did it but lets be real about this shit.. gotta go home :) Soooo i don't know if i'll remember to blog but if i don't, see you in 2 weeks ny :)

September 13th-15th

So these past couple of days i've basically been catching up on work... i know boring but I'm so behind in German lol it's really awkward how fluent everyone else is and how.. well... not fluent I am lol. Oh well it'll be good practice as I make a fool of myself ;) what else is new? Anyways i'm going out tonight with people from the program.. oh yesterday i went to this language exchange thing and got made fun of for not understanding Australian accents... even though it was really hard but anyways. Tomorrow i'm going to Hamburg for the night so ill write again on saturday <3

Starting again September 12th

So i haven't written in like a week but here's the recap. I started classes last Monday and so far they are all good I am taking three classes and they are all in German... it's pretty hard but I'm glad I'm learning German :) I have no classes on Tuesday Wednesday or Friday lol so it's pretty damn cool. I love meeting german people and practicing my German it's how i actually learn the language. So this last weekend I went to like 4 different bars, a club and an amazing concert with German singers and group including Culcha Candela my favorite and Kelly Clarkson and Jason Derulo suprisignly. Lol it was awesome I met new people and hung out with my friends from the German program. The weekend was pretty good a little much at times but overall it wasn't bad. Classes started again today and after me and Lindsey went on this crazy outdoor obstacle course that you're on a harness and doing all these crazy things... i was definitely screaming the whole time and the guy working there had to follow me cause i kept getting stuck in the middle and couldn't do anything haha but overall i did pretty well and it was soooo much fun :) The weather here is nice for now but i think that it is going to start getting cold and then the BEAUTIFUL Berlin weather will kick in... that was sarcasm.. if you don't know it gets like an igloo in Germany lol. Anyways me and Lindsey are going to cook now something new we do so i have to go! <3

September 3-5th

So these past days I have been at orientation and visiting Berlin and taking tours and what not to get a little acquainted. I had the luck to have my mom and Ola with me and they bought me a lot of groceries and what not and we went exploring got me a cell phone and explored Asian food here cause they definitely have the best friend noodles haha ;). Berlin is a really pretty city and I am loving it. Yesterday my mom and Ola left and it was really sad I miss them so now I'm getting used to living alone. I hardly got any sleep yesterday after our little party in my room and then I just couldn't go to sleep so now I am a little bit tired but I'm managing for now. Today class was cool nothing crazy it was raining all day today and I had to buy an umbrella which I bought from a sex shop... not really sure why but they had those plastic umbrellas that they sell in NY there. That was interesting. And now I am in my room waiting for people to finish their classes so I can do something other than sit here lol. I'll write tomorrow

September 1st and 2nd

Craziness! I can't even describe how the past two days have felt. I got to Berlin yesterday and right away saw how amazing the city is. They really don't lie when they say it is the nicest and most modern city in Europe. It's gorgeous and there are so many things to do here and so many people I love it! I came to my dorm and it is ridiculously nice. I can't even describe i have my own studio apartment and it is like 3 times the size of my dorm and it looks exactly like a hotel room and has wooden cabinets with glass cups and full length mirrors and a TV and balcony its so nice. After i went exploring with my mom and sister (so happy they came with me here it makes me feel a lot better) and we did some grocery shopping. Then NYU took us out to a fancy dinner and I made a lot of new friends probably the closest out of them I think is Nissa. Michael my coworker is here which is awesome cause it's a familiar face and i met a ton of nice people and had a good time. Today I had orientation it was kind of exhausting but it was good and i met more people and saw more familiar faces. Then me and my mom and Ola went to get me a German cellphone and then we went for this amazing Asian food. It's so cheap it's ridiculous! I love it. I miss my friends from home and it's weird not having close friends around me but I'm sure i'll get used to the new people and have fun. Miss you all

August 31st

It started off hot today such a tease haha cause it's freezing again now. Anyways I woke up ridiculously early today cause I had to go back to the city for last minute shopping lol.. My grandma ended up buying me sneakers and a workout shirt, perfect match. Then I went and picked up our favorite pizza and brought it back to the summer house and we ate and then packed our stuff more... we have like 6 bags don't know where that's going to fit on the train lol. Now we're just getting all the small things together before me Ola and my mom leave tomorrow to Berlin at..... 6:30am.. that's not it. Ola's a lucky little brat and she got tickets to the US Open of course while i'm not going to be there lol. I had amazing paczki and bulk sliwkowe today, Polish desserts obvs. Anyways I got to make sure I have everything and get some rest before tomorrow. Wish me luck on my adventure :)

August 30th

It was so freezing today! I'm currently wearing three sweater and sweatpants and a scarf, it's almost ridiculous. I don't understand how it's so cold here and back home I could be wearing shorts and a tshirt. Smh at this weather lol i hope Berlin is at least a little warmer. Count down is one day and a half. Crazy i'm getting kind of nervous but still very excited for it :) Anyways today I stayed in most of the day because it was cold so there isn't much to say i packed a little and chilled with my family and ate a lot like usual ;) Other than that I'll keep you guys updated tomorrow... I'm going back to the city tomorrow cause I need to buy running sneakers and then I'll be back in the summerhouse until Thursday when I'm taking the train to Berlin at 8am :)
